Harvard Cricket Coaching Clinic met with Clarke Road United on the Corpus Christi holiday at the Clarke Road Recreation Ground, Penal in Under-9 and Under-11 friendly T-20 matches.
In the Under-9 match, Clarke Road United was restricted to 58 runs for 9 wickets with top scorer Larry Harribance hitting 15 runs. Harvard’s bowling was on point with Moriah Wong Chang taking 3 wickets for 2 runs, Kai Williams taking 2 wickets for 6 runs and Ethan John capturing 2 wickets for 1 run. Harvard responded with a knock of 74 runs for 5 wickets to win the match, with all their batters getting a chance at the crease as the line-up retired to the pavilion. Top scorers were Kai Williams with 17 not out, Reyan Mohammed with 8 runs, and Lukas Patram with 8 runs not out. Clarke Road’s top bowlers were Luke Mohammed with 1 wicket for 1 run and Larry Harribance with 1 wicket for 3 runs.
Meanwhile, on the greens, the Under-11 players had an exciting match with Clarke Road United winning the game after having to surpass an outstanding 111 runs made by Harvard. Harvard’s top scorers were Jordan Bryce with 21 (retired) and Garvin Bruce with 11 (retired). The top bowler for Clarke Road was Navin Harribance who took 2 wickets for 8 runs. Clarke Road’s Teeval Samlal hit an impressive 47 runs. Sachin Butchoon added to the effort with 13 runs. Harvard’s top bowler was Kyriel Marryshow with 3 wickets for 25 runs.
