Cops Met by Gunfire as $400,000 in Drugs, Ammo Seized


While J'Ouvert revelers came out to play officers of the Western Division were hard at work when they seized nearly $400,000.00 worth of drugs during an early morning exercise in Petit Valley on Monday (Feb 8th) morning, between the hours of 3AM and 11AM. According to reports the officers were met with gunfire from four men and one woman as they made their way to a makeshift camp at Cameron Hill. The assailants escaped into nearby bushes however the officers were able to seize 205 rounds of assorted ammunition, two glock pistols, two kilogrammes of cocaine and two ski masks. Five magazines were also recovered. Warrants have been issued for the group's arrest, the four men are said to be known by the police while the woman is reportedly a foreigner.
