Thirteen year old Nathan Campo will be laid to rest tomorrow (Dec 6th) after he succumbed to injuries he sustained while protecting his mother and sister from a cutlass wielding intruder two Sundays ago.
A 17 year old boy has been held in connect with what investigators are now calling a murder case.
Reports indicate that Campo sprung into action shielding his mother and sister when a man stormed the yard of their home in Las Lomas. He was dealt several chops on the head and arms and was treated at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday (Jan 2nd). Campo’s mother underwent reconstructive surgery and was discharged while his sister was spared any injury.
Campo’s funeral will take place from 3pm at Grace Communion, Samaroo Village in Arima.
