Age simulation suit teaches Med students empathy

Maybe there is hope for improving geriatric care in this country. Medical students were able to benefit from wearing an age simulation suit, which is aimed at helping medical students empathize with their future patients.

The suit, when put on, constraints the muscles while the accompanying pair of goggles reduces the eye sight by 80 percent.

According to the medical trainers of Lublin University, this experience will help medical students understand their elderly patients better, and in turn give them a higher level of care.

Geriatric care is major concern locally with recent incidents of abuse being highlighted on social media over the past year.
