Warrior shot


Trinidad and Tobago footballer, Keron Cummings is expected to undergo surgery today, after he was shot in the leg during the early hours of Sunday (Dec 27th) morning. Reports indicate that 27 year old Cummings was in his vehicle in front of his home in Petit Valley when a lone gunman wearing a masked approached and fired a single shot at his leg around 3AM, before escaping. Cummings has since been warded at the Port of Spain General Hospital.

The attack has been deemed by many as a deliberate attack on Cummings career. The player was schedued to depart for Orlando City for pre-season training but that move may now be in jeopardy due to the tragic events. In addition, the national senior team has just entered a camp to prepare for Copa Centenario Playoff against Haiti leaving the mercuraial Atullah Guerra as the prime candidate to take his spot in the starting line-up for the Soca Warriors.
