Officer Murdered in Sea Lots

Police are continuing investigations into the murder of a security officer in Sea Lots, yesterday afternoon.

It was reported that, Corporal Anthony Pierre of the Rapid Response Unit of the Amalgamated Security Services, was responding to an alarm at Berger Paints Limited with another officer. When they arrived they came under heavy gun fire and Pierre was shot in the head. He died instantly

The other officer, Constable Franklin Edwards, was shot in the leg. He was rushed to the Port of Spain General hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The police are continuing their search for suspects in the Beetham Gardens and Sea Lots Areas
