Committee to meet with players’ reps over Soca Warriors boycott of Panama Clash

“A way forward” is the ambition of a three-person committee expected to hold a meeting with representatives of the Soca Warriors, who have threatened to boycott a COPA American qualifying match carded for January 8th in Panama.

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association, in a release on Thursday morning (Dec 17th), noted that “the Board has given the committee a clear mandate with instructions to resolve the matter as soon as possible.”

This is following the first Board meeting of the TTFA on Wednesday night (Dec 16th), where a decision was taken to treat the matter with urgency.

Ms. Joanne Salazar, Samuel Saunders and Ewing Davis comprise the committee which will meet with the players’ representatives.
