Junior Cyclist Fly Flag

T&T’s recent run of sporting success continued with our young cycling team who participated in the Junior Caribbean Road Championships in the Dominican Republic this weekend.
Team T&T returned home with 6 medals to match our biggest haul at these championships.
Tyler Cole won double gold in the Juvenile Men’s Time Trial and the Road Race, while Teniel Campbell competing on the women’s side, won double gold as well in the equivalent events. Ramon Belmontes captured his first international medal with a Bronze in the Junior Men Time Trial while young Jabari Whiteman also got a bronze in the Juvenile Men Road Race on his debut representing Trinidad and Tobago.
Cycling continues its resurgence as a sport that T&T dominates and we hope the youth continue on this road to success as they too feed into the drive for T&T to have “10 Gold by 2024”.
